FTI supplies a wide range of Imperial PTFE Tube (standard sizes from 1/8 to1/4 OD) and Metric PTFE Tube (standard sizes from 4 mm to 10 mm) and in the choice of 10, 30 or 100 metre coils and is FDA approved.
PTFE tube, sometimes referred to as Teflon® tubing, has very good chemical resistance, the material being almost inert and therefore it can be used with most industrial chemicals and solvents.
It’s temperature range of -60C to +250C opens up PTFE tubing to many applications most other polymers can’t withstand. The electrical insulation properties of PTFE tubing are superb making it an ideal choice for electrical sleeving.
PTFE tube doesn’t work harden and offers excellent resistance against ageing. It has excellent friction co-efficiency and its non-stick properties allow it to convey viscous, sticky materials without resultant blockages.
