Tube and Clamps

Stainless Steel Tube (Seamless)

Stainless Steel Tube from FTIFTI stocks a broad range of high quality European manufactured seamless Stainless steel tube manufactured to ASTM A269 - 316L.

FTI stocks a large range of both imperial seamless stainless steel tube (standard sizes from 1/8 to 1" OD) and metric seamless stainless steel tube (standard sizes from 6 mm to 25 mm OD)

FTI's stainless steel tube is suitable for high pressure, vacuum, impulsing and pressure surge applications. The tube is suitable for use with compression fittings and may be bent by hand or machine.

The standard stocked and minimum order length is 3 metres; 6 metre lengths are also available if required. FTI also stock 1/16th coiled stainless steel tube. Other OD sizes are also available please contact us for further information

Copper Tube - Soft Coiled

Copper Tube from FTIFTI stocks a large range of annealed soft copper tube in standard coil lengths of 10 and 30 metres.

FTI stocks a large range of both metric copper tube (standard sizes from 4 mm to 15 mm OD) and imperial copper tube (standard sizes from 1/8 to 3/4" OD)

The copper tube is manufactured to EN12735 C106 (formerly BS2871 Part 2). The internal surface of FTI's copper tube is both cleaned and polished.

The copper tube is suitable for air conditioning and refrigeration applications as well as general plumbing, process fluids and gas installation work.

Nylon Tube

Nylon Tube from FTIFTI supplies a wide range of Imperial Nylon Tube (standard sizes from 1/8 to 1" OD) and Metric Nylon Tube (standard sizes from 4 mm to 28 mm) and choice of colour (black, yellow, red, blue and green)

The nylon tube is manufactured to BS5409 Part 1 and is suitable for food use. It has a resistance to a wide range of chemicals, has good flexibility and bend radii, is resistant to the crushing, cracking, abrasion and work hardening associated with the vibration of machinery and is abrasion resistance.

Nylon tube is generally suitable for temperatures from -35ºC to +70ºC and is ideally suited for use with both compression and push-in fittings.

PTFE Tube (Teflon Tube)

PTFE Tube from FTIFTI supplies a wide range of Imperial PTFE Tube (standard sizes from 1/8 to1/4 OD) and Metric PTFE Tube (standard sizes from 4 mm to 10 mm) and in the choice of 10, 30 or 100 metre coils and is FDA approved.

PTFE tube, sometimes referred to as Teflon® tubing, has very good chemical resistance, the material being almost inert and therefore it can be used with most industrial chemicals and solvents.

It's temperature range of -60C to +250C opens up PTFE tubing to many applications most other polymers can't withstand. The electrical insulation properties of PTFE tubing are superb making it an ideal choice for electrical sleeving.

PTFE tube doesn't work harden and offers excellent resistance against ageing. It has excellent friction co-efficiency and its non-stick properties allow it to convey viscous, sticky materials without resultant blockages.

PFA Tube

PFA Tube from FTIFTI supplies a wide range of Imperial PFA Tube (standard sizes 1/8 to1/2 OD) and Metric PFA Tube (standard sizes 6 mm to 12 mm) and in the choice of 10 or 25 metre coils.

PFA is similar in many ways to PTFE fluoroplastic tubing in terms of broad chemical resistance & wide temperature range (-60°C to +250°C) however, PFA tubing does not cold flow; has superior mechanical properties with regard to temperature versus pressure; exhibits much lower gas diffusion through its wall and has greater optical clarity than PTFE.

PFA's properties are similar to those of PTFE: universal chemical resistance; excellent weathering characteristics; low coefficient of friction & outstanding electrical insulation performance. PFA is almost completely chemically inert & non-wetted by fluids such as water. The absorption of organic liquids into PFA is unusually low and the diffusion/permeation of gases through the wall of PFA tubing is also at very low levels making it an ideal choice for fluid / gas handling applications.

RPVC & PVC Tube

Un-reinforced PVC Tube from FTIFTI supplies a wide range of clear RPVC (Reinforced PVC) and PVC Tube in various metric (6mm to 62mm) and imperial (1/8 to 2") ID sizes and in 10, 30 or 100 metre coils. The Clear PVC has excellent transparency allowing full visibility of flow but is also available in a choice of colours (black, yellow, red, blue and green).

FTI's PVC tube is manufactured to BS6066, has a temperature range of -15°C to 60°C, is suitable for food use and has an outstanding resistance to ageing.

PVC offers resistance to a wide range of chemicals, UV, abrasion and doesn't support combustion and is silicon free.

Tube Clamps

Tube Clamps from FTIFTI supply a range of imperial and metric size tube clamps that are equivalent to the Stauff® tube clamp.

FTI stock a full range of single and twin clamps as well as components for the clamps (eg jaws, base plates, bolts etc).

The tube clamps are manufactured to DIN3015 and can operate within a temperature range of -30°C to +90°C. They are supplied as standard with polypropylene jaws and mild steel plates with other materials and combinations available on request.

"P" & "O" Clips & Tools

Tube Clamps from FTIFTI supply a range of clips and tools associated to the fixing of tubes.

The P Clips are zinc plated mild steel with an EPDM rubber lining, and the Double Ear O Clips are zinc plated mild steel.
